Run a Quick Automated Scan in Webflow

  1. Open your Webflow project and publish the site to its staging domain (e.g., yoursite.webflow.io) using the Publish button in the top-right corner.
  2. Copy the full URL of the page you want to scan.
  3. Open an automated accessibility checking tool in a new browser tab (e.g., WAVE, Lighthouse, or Wave Evaluation Tool Browser Extension).
  4. Paste your published Webflow page URL into the scanner’s input field (or, if using a browser extension, simply navigate to the live page and activate the tool).
  5. Run the scan by clicking the tool’s Analyze or Run Report button.
  6. Review the automated results:
    • Identify errors such as missing alt text, low contrast, or incorrect heading structure.
    • Check alerts and structural warnings to understand potential accessibility issues.
    • Review contrast indicators and ARIA labels flagged by the tool.
  7. Return to Webflow Designer and fix any issues detected by the scan (e.g., adding alt text, adjusting contrast, correcting headings).
  8. Republish the site and re-run the automated scan to verify that errors have been resolved.
  9. Repeat this process for all key pages of your site to ensure consistent accessibility coverage.
  10. Document any remaining issues that require manual testing or content updates, and address them in a future pass.
