Run a Quick Automated Scan in Webflow
- Open your Webflow project and publish the site to its staging domain (e.g., yoursite.webflow.io) using the Publish button in the top-right corner.
- Copy the full URL of the page you want to scan.
- Open an automated accessibility checking tool in a new browser tab (e.g., WAVE, Lighthouse, or Wave Evaluation Tool Browser Extension).
- Paste your published Webflow page URL into the scanner’s input field (or, if using a browser extension, simply navigate to the live page and activate the tool).
- Run the scan by clicking the tool’s Analyze or Run Report button.
- Review the automated results:
- Identify errors such as missing alt text, low contrast, or incorrect heading structure.
- Check alerts and structural warnings to understand potential accessibility issues.
- Review contrast indicators and ARIA labels flagged by the tool.
- Return to Webflow Designer and fix any issues detected by the scan (e.g., adding alt text, adjusting contrast, correcting headings).
- Republish the site and re-run the automated scan to verify that errors have been resolved.
- Repeat this process for all key pages of your site to ensure consistent accessibility coverage.
- Document any remaining issues that require manual testing or content updates, and address them in a future pass.
