Run a Quick Automated Scan in Elementor
- Click Update in Elementor to ensure your most recent page edits are saved, then view the live page in a new browser tab.
- Copy the full URL of the live page you want to scan.
- Open an automated accessibility tool such as WAVE, Axe DevTools (browser extension), or Lighthouse in Chrome DevTools.
- If using the WAVE Web Tool:
- Go to the WAVE analysis page.
- Paste your page URL into the input field.
- Click Analyze to generate a full accessibility report.
- If using a browser extension (WAVE or Axe):
- Navigate to your live Elementor page.
- Click the extension icon and run the scan instantly.
- If using Chrome Lighthouse:
- Right-click anywhere → Inspect.
- Open the Lighthouse tab.
- Select the Accessibility category and run the audit.
- Review the results:
- Check for missing alt text, low-contrast text, improperly ordered headings, and unlabeled icons or controls.
- Open each issue to view the exact element on the page.
- Return to Elementor and fix each issue:
- Add proper alt text in the Media Library,
- Strengthen color contrast via Style → Typography/Background,
- Correct heading levels using the HTML Tag dropdown,
- Add labels or ARIA attributes to icons in Advanced → Attributes.
- Click Update again once fixes are complete.
- Re-run the automated scan on the live page to confirm issues are resolved.
- Repeat the scan on all important pages (Home, Services, About, Contact, product pages) to ensure site-wide accessibility consistency.
