Make Click Targets Large in Squarespace

1. Open your Squarespace site and navigate to the page you want to adjust, then click Edit to activate inline editing.
2. Select the first interactive element you want to enlarge (button, link, icon, image link, or navigation item).
3. For **button blocks**:
   • Click the button → Edit → open the Design panel.
   • Increase Padding (top, bottom, left, right) until the button’s clickable area is at least 44px × 44px.
   • Adjust Text Size if needed to match the larger button shape.
4. For **text links** in paragraphs or lists:
   • Wrap the link inside a Button Block or Summary Block if possible.
   • Or convert the link into a Button using the text editor’s button style option (available in many templates).
5. For **image links**:
   • Select the image → Edit → ensure a Clickthrough URL is set.
   • Increase the image size using drag handles or adjust Section Layout to ensure it meets the 44px minimum dimension.
6. For **icons acting as buttons** (hamburger menu, close icons, arrows):
   • Select the icon → Edit.
   • Increase size using the size slider or switch to a larger icon preset.
   • If needed, place the icon inside a Spacer or Button Block to expand the clickable area.
7. Adjust **navigation items**:
   • Open Edit Site Header.
   • In the Style settings, increase Padding and Text Size for menu links.
   • Repeat for the **mobile menu**, ensuring the hamburger icon and menu links meet the 44px guideline.
8. If you use **Summary Blocks** or **List Blocks** as clickable cards:
   • Open the block → Edit.
   • Increase internal padding or card height to enlarge the clickable surface.
9. Repeat the sizing adjustments for all interactive elements on the page to ensure consistent ease of use.
10. Switch to Mobile preview and repeat the process; mobile users require especially generous tap targets.
11. Click Preview and test interactives using your cursor to ensure each target is easy to click without precision.
12. Save and publish your changes, then test on an actual mobile device to confirm all interactive elements feel comfortably tappable.
