Keep Sections Ordered in GoDaddy Website Builder

  1. Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to organize.
  2. Hover your mouse over the left side of any section until you see the Move handle appear.
  3. Click and drag the entire section up or down to place it in a logical top-to-bottom reading order:
    • Hero or header section first,
    • Main content sections next,
    • Contact or call-to-action sections near the end,
    • Footer last.
  4. Click each section to open the right-hand settings panel.
  5. In the Section Settings panel, update the Section Title field (if available) with a short internal-only label such as “Hero Section,” “Services Section,” or “Contact Section” to help with organization.
  6. Enter each section and check that the heading hierarchy matches the order:
    • H2 at the start of each major section,
    • H3–H4 for content within that section.
  7. Verify no section is unintentionally nested:
    • Ensure each block sits in its own section unless purposely grouped,
    • Move mistakenly nested content out into its own section using drag-and-drop.
  8. Switch to Mobile view and confirm the visual flow matches the desktop order. If text or images appear out of sequence, reorder or adjust spacing within the editor.
  9. Use Preview to scroll the full page and confirm the content reads smoothly from top to bottom without unexpected jumps.
  10. Publish the page, then view it live to ensure the DOM order matches your intended reading order.
