Keep Sections Ordered in GoDaddy Website Builder
- Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to organize.
- Hover your mouse over the left side of any section until you see the Move handle appear.
- Click and drag the entire section up or down to place it in a logical top-to-bottom reading order:
- Hero or header section first,
- Main content sections next,
- Contact or call-to-action sections near the end,
- Footer last.
- Click each section to open the right-hand settings panel.
- In the Section Settings panel, update the Section Title field (if available) with a short internal-only label such as “Hero Section,” “Services Section,” or “Contact Section” to help with organization.
- Enter each section and check that the heading hierarchy matches the order:
- H2 at the start of each major section,
- H3–H4 for content within that section.
- Verify no section is unintentionally nested:
- Ensure each block sits in its own section unless purposely grouped,
- Move mistakenly nested content out into its own section using drag-and-drop.
- Switch to Mobile view and confirm the visual flow matches the desktop order. If text or images appear out of sequence, reorder or adjust spacing within the editor.
- Use Preview to scroll the full page and confirm the content reads smoothly from top to bottom without unexpected jumps.
- Publish the page, then view it live to ensure the DOM order matches your intended reading order.
