Use Legible Text Sizes in GoDaddy Website Builder
- Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to update.
- Select a text element (paragraph, heading, button label, link, or form text). The right-hand settings panel will appear.
- Open the Text, Typography, or Design section depending on the block type.
- Check the current font size:
- Ensure paragraph text is at least 16px.
- Button labels and navigation text should be at least 14–16px.
- Headings should scale clearly above body text (H1 ~ 28–40px, H2 ~ 22–30px, H3 ~ 18–24px).
- Adjust the font size using the slider or pixel input until the text is comfortable to read.
- Check Line Spacing (line height):
- Use approximately 1.4–1.6 for paragraph text.
- Use slightly tighter spacing for headings.
- Review button text:
- Select the button → open Design.
- Increase text size or adjust button padding to maintain readability.
- Review form text:
- Select the form → click a field.
- Ensure labels, input text, and placeholder text meet minimum size guidelines.
- If global text styles are enabled:
- Open Theme → Sitewide Styles or Theme → Fonts.
- Adjust global paragraph, heading, and button sizes for consistency across the entire site.
- Switch to Mobile view:
- Ensure text remains at least 14–16px on smaller screens.
- Adjust mobile-specific heading sizes if they appear too large or too small.
- Check navigation text in mobile view:
- Select the mobile menu → verify menu item text is large enough for comfortable reading and tapping.
- Use Preview to scan the page and verify readability at a normal viewing distance.
- Publish your changes to update live text sizing sitewide.
