Maintain Consistent Navigation in GoDaddy Website Builder
- Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to any page that uses your main site header.
- Click the Header area to open the right-hand settings panel.
- Verify that the header is configured as the site-wide header:
- If the panel shows “This header appears on all pages,” consistency is already ensured.
- If not, click the visibility or page assignment options and set the header to display on All Pages.
- Select the Navigation Menu inside the header to load menu settings.
- Confirm all menu labels match your preferred naming across the site (e.g., “About,” not “About Us” in some places).
- Click each menu item and verify the links point to the correct pages or sections.
- Check the logo or site title:
- Select the logo → open Settings.
- Ensure it links to the homepage.
- Switch to Mobile view using the top device toggle.
- Click the Mobile Navigation (hamburger) icon:
- Select the mobile menu block.
- Ensure all menu items match the desktop menu in both wording and order.
- Add or verify the Label or Alt Text for the mobile menu icon (e.g., “Open Navigation Menu”).
- If your site includes a Footer Menu:
- Select the footer → open menu settings.
- Ensure the footer navigation mirrors the structure and naming of the main navigation where appropriate.
- Navigate through several pages inside the builder to confirm the same header and navigation structure appear consistently everywhere.
- Use Preview to test transitions between pages on both desktop and mobile to confirm stable, predictable navigation.
- Publish the site to apply the consistent navigation structure across all live pages.
