Use One Page Heading in GoDaddy Website Builder

  1. Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to edit.
  2. Select the main title at the top of the page—this should be the primary heading that describes the whole page.
  3. In the right-hand editing panel, open the Text or Typography settings.
  4. Locate the Heading Level or Text Style control and set the main title to Heading 1 (H1).
  5. Scroll through the rest of the page and click any other headings or large text blocks.
  6. For each additional heading:
    • Open its Text or Typography settings,
    • Change its style to H2 or lower (H3–H4) according to the section hierarchy.
  7. If you find text visually styled like a heading but set as “Paragraph”:
    • Select the text → open the Text Style menu,
    • Assign the correct heading level (H2–H6) while keeping the same visual formatting.
  8. Ensure your structure follows a clean hierarchy:
    • One H1 per page,
    • H2 for major sections,
    • H3–H4 for subsections.
  9. Switch to Mobile view and confirm the heading tags remain correct even if font sizes change.
  10. Use Preview to scan the page top-to-bottom and verify the visual layout matches the heading order.
  11. Publish the page, then use your browser’s accessibility inspector to confirm only one H1 exists and the heading structure is logical.
