Make Click Targets Large in GoDaddy Website Builder
- Open your site in GoDaddy Website Builder and navigate to the page you want to adjust.
- Select the first interactive element (button, link, image link, icon, social icon, form submit button). The right-hand settings panel will appear.
- For buttons:
- Select the button → open Design.
- Increase Padding on all sides to make the clickable area at least 44px × 44px.
- Adjust font size if needed to keep the button balanced.
- For text links inside paragraphs:
- Consider replacing small inline text links with a Button or Call-to-Action block.
- Or place the link inside a larger button-style element for easier tapping.
- For image links:
- Select the linked image → resize it using drag handles or change layout spacing.
- Ensure the image is large enough to meet the minimum target size.
- Add padding via the Design tab if resizing is not possible.
- For icons acting as buttons (hamburger menu, close icon, arrow icons):
- Select the icon → open Design.
- Increase the icon size until it reaches a comfortable clickable dimension.
- Add padding or background shape to expand the tap target.
- For social icons:
- Select the social icons block → click each icon.
- Increase icon size and spacing so each link is easy to tap.
- For form submit buttons:
- Select the form → click the submit button.
- Increase padding in the Design panel until it meets or exceeds 44px height.
- For product cards in GoDaddy eCommerce:
- Ensure product images and “Add to Cart” buttons are large enough to tap easily.
- Adjust column spacing or switch to a layout that increases card size.
- Switch to Mobile view to check tap targets specifically for mobile users:
- Increase padding for mobile buttons,
- Ensure mobile menu items are tall enough (around 44px),
- Resize icons so they are finger-friendly.
- Use Preview to test buttons and links using your mouse or keyboard to confirm ease of use.
- Publish your changes to update the live site with improved tap and click targets.
