Use Legible Text Sizes in Wix
- Open your site in the Wix Editor and navigate to the page containing the text elements you want to review.
- Select a text element on the canvas (paragraph, heading, button label, menu item, or form text).
- In the floating text toolbar or right-hand panel, click Edit Text to open full typography controls.
- Check the Font Size setting:
- Ensure body text is at least 16px.
- Headings should scale clearly above body text (e.g., H1: 32–48px, H2: 24–32px, H3: 18–24px).
- Button text and navigation labels should be at least 14–16px.
- Adjust the font size by typing a new value or using the size slider until the text becomes comfortable to read.
- Review Line Spacing (line height):
- Set paragraph text between 1.4–1.6 for readability.
- Headings can use slightly tighter spacing.
- Check character spacing under Advanced settings and ensure it remains normal unless design style requires minor adjustments.
- If the text uses a global theme style (e.g., Paragraph Theme, Heading Theme):
- Click Apply to Theme or adjust the theme settings directly.
- This updates text sizes consistently across the entire site.
- Switch to Mobile view using the top device selector.
- Select text elements again and adjust mobile-specific text sizes:
- Body text should remain at least 14–16px.
- Headings may be reduced slightly for small screens but must stay readable.
- Check buttons, menu items, and form labels in mobile view to ensure none reduce below 14px. Increase text size or adjust padding to maintain readability.
- Click Preview and scroll through the page to confirm text size hierarchy feels balanced and readable across all sections.
- Publish your site and review it on an actual phone or tablet to ensure real-world legibility for all text elements.
